Curiosity thrives with Pinehurst hosting its 1st doubleheader- Women’s Open

The US Women’s Open this year is sure very different from its previous seasons, since it is the very first time in the history of golf that it is being hosted in the same golf course where the US Open for men was held. That is the reason why Juli Inkster was taken aback mildly, when the teeing off time was made public. Inkster at present is fifty three and will be taking part in her 35thUS Women;s Open. However Luci Li is just eleven and this is her maiden tournament.

Talking about USGA’s groupings for the first two round, Inkster commented that she was pretty sure that she would play with Li at the Open. Commenting on the fact that age is just a number, the ace golfer said that Li hasn’t hardened yet as she has, she is still smiling.

Regardless of the curiosity surrounding the playing the doubleheader, some of the aspects of the upcoming week’s tournaments will remain intact at the Pinehurst number two.
